Friends of AlbLibris brings readers, writers, teachers and libraries together to celebrate Albanian literature and pass it on to the next generation.
Who we are
Friends of AlbLibris is a charitable organization formed to promote literacy, education and lifelong learning, with a particular focus on Albanian literature, language, history and cultural heritage.
We believe a culture lives where its books are read, taught, translated and shared. We work alongside authors, translators, educators, libraries, schools, universities, museums and cultural organizations to make that happen, in Albanian communities and well beyond them.

What we do
Promote reading and learning
We support literacy, education, literature and lifelong learning for readers of every age.
Preserve Albanian heritage
We build awareness, appreciation and preservation of Albanian literature, language, history and cultural heritage.
Gather people around books
We organize and support book fairs, literary festivals, lectures, author appearances, panel discussions, exhibitions and reading programs.
Stand with writers and educators
We partner with authors, translators, libraries, schools, universities, museums and scholars on shared educational programming.
Put books in hands
We publish, preserve, distribute, donate, lend and display books, archives and educational materials for charitable and educational purposes.
Invest in people
We support educational exchanges, scholarships, grants, fellowships and awards, as approved by our Board.
Every book fair, scholarship and shelf of donated books is made possible by gifts from people like you.

Programs for schools and libraries that encourage literacy and lifelong learning at every age.

Acquiring, publishing, preserving, donating and lending books, archives and educational materials.
Scholarships and exchanges
Educational exchanges, scholarships, grants, fellowships and awards, as approved by our Board.
